Position Summary: Roofing Estimator

Role Description:

We are seeking a qualified individual who can manage various projects comprehensively: from design and estimation to owner selections and project execution. Our team is committed to treating each project uniquely, ensuring an exceptional customer experience grounded in transparency, excellence, and integrity.

This role diverges from the conventional sales/project manager/estimator position. We focus on premium, custom roofing systems, often characterized by intricate designs, including valleys, flat sections, and multi-story elements. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing aerial roof reports to formulate detailed estimates encompassing the necessary labor and materials for project completion. This may also involve reviewing builder plans and verifying elevations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive estimates for residential roofing projects (including shingle, tile, and metal).
  • Examine requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to fully understand project specifications.
  • Identify production factors that may impact overall costs.
  • Keep abreast of current market pricing for materials within the estimating system.
  • Generate detailed job cost reports.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with company vendors and contractors.
  • Facilitate hand-off meetings with designated project managers.
  • Present prepared estimates to management for review.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with The Edge estimating software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in analyzing requirement data to create material and cost estimates for residential projects.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents.
  • Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills.
