The Lead Electrical Cost Estimator will be pivotal in driving our projects' success by guaranteeing competitive and cost-efficient bids.

Compensation: The salary range is $70,000 - $120,000 annually, contingent upon qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Analysis:
- Scrutinize project blueprints and specifications to ascertain the work scope.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Estimate Development:
- Create thorough and precise electrical estimates utilizing specialized software.
- Incorporate all requisite materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses into the estimates.

Vendor Coordination:
- Solicit and assess bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Risk Assessment:
- Identify potential risks related to project estimates.
- Formulate strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Collaboration:

- Provide technical guidance on electrical cost issues.

Change Order Management:
- Prepare and validate estimates for change orders.
- Communicate any alterations in project scope and associated cost implications to relevant parties.

Reporting:
- Generate and present detailed estimate reports.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, modifications, and historical cost data.

Market Research:
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
- Analyze competitor pricing strategies and market conditions.

Quality Control:
- Implement quality assurance measures in the estimating process.
- Review estimates for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.

Continuous Improvement:
- Engage in post-project evaluations to identify areas for enhancement in the estimating process.
- Adopt best practices and innovative estimating techniques.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating for construction projects.
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software and MS Office Suite.

- Familiarity with Accubid Classic, Live Count On screen take-off, and other Trimble software products.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
