Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough estimates across various roofing systems, producing detailed reports on labor, materials, equipment, and other necessary supplies.
  • Implement value engineering strategies to select the most suitable roofing systems that align with client requirements.
  • Carefully analyze project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with manufacturer warranties.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside sales personnel to identify roofing issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Keep abreast of current market prices for materials within the estimating system.
  • Engage in negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers to secure favorable pricing.
  • Prepare and compile intricate project documentation, including manufacturer documents and submittals.
  • Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as necessary.
  • Promote company services to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments on complex projects.
  • Generate comprehensive job cost reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company protocols, contract stipulations, and project specifications.
  • Facilitate hand-off meetings with assigned project managers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing estimation for commercial projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing and construction.
  • Sales experience is advantageous.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) and a solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The Edge, Bluebeam, and Pipedrive (or similar CRM tools).
  • Capability to set up ladders, access roofs, and gather data on existing roofing conditions while performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, drawing plans, and product specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • People-oriented with a passion for engaging with clients.
