Role Responsibilities:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in our operations by field commissioning building automation systems tailored to each client's unique requirements. We seek a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-centric team member who can tackle complex challenges and assist in mentoring less experienced engineers.

Key Duties:

  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Act as the primary local contact for technical inquiries and lead in-field operations.
  • Provide effective solutions for complex system challenges.
  • Deliver turnkey project management for small to medium-scale projects.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of systems, including controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Implement time management strategies to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document project status and details for clients.
  • Conduct site-specific training for owners/operators on the complete system.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable by the company's insurance.

Preferred:

  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installation of complex building automation controls.
  • Basic knowledge of various building automation systems.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.
  • Proficient in using an electrical multi-meter.
  • Solid understanding of common HVAC systems such as RTUs, air handlers, VAV boxes, chillers, and boilers.
  • Able to read and interpret HVAC mechanical prints.
  • Capable of checking out and commissioning common HVAC control devices like sensors, valves, damper motors, and relays.
