We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at HRT Solutions. This is a hybrid role that requires a unique blend of HR expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations: Collaborate with our Legal Department to design and implement effective infrastructure for workplace investigations, internal grievance management processes, and other essential HR programs.
- Conflict Resolution: Function as a neutral resource to address and resolve complex employee relations issues, while supporting managers to foster a positive employee environment.
- Investigations and Recommendations: Lead complex employee-related issues by addressing employee complaints, conducting thorough investigations, making recommendations, and bringing those issues to complete resolution.
- HR Compliance: Administer unemployment, EEOC claims, ADA accommodation requests, and other employment matters, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Training and Development: Collaborate to design, maintain, and deliver positive employee relations or compliance training programs, ensuring that all employees are equipped to handle complex HR situations.
- Employee Engagement: Build and maintain employee listening tools, such as hotlines, surveys, focus groups, and other tools, to ensure two-way communication is fully integrated into the work environment and support employee engagement.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze employee relations trends and data to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- People Partner: Function as a People Partner when needed for either interim assignments or to collaboratively help resolve complex issues within the business.
- Guidance and Support: Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee-related matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Minimum 5 Years of HR Experience: Proven experience in employee relations or as a Generalist or Business Partner, with a strong understanding of HR regulations and best practices.
- Conflict Management and Investigations: Proficient in conflict management, investigations, negotiation, and HR regulations, with a strong ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions.
- HR Regulations and Compliance: Familiarity with Wage & Hour, FLSA, and state and federal ADA laws, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Competence in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and in pulling data from HRIS, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret data to inform business decisions.
- Multi-State Experience: Experience working in multiple states, with a strong understanding of regional HR regulations and best practices.
- Unemployment Administration: Experience administering unemployment claims, with a strong understanding of state and federal regulations.
- Problem-Solving and Prioritization: Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively to address business needs proactively.
- Confidentiality and Customer Service: Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service, with a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.
