About the Role

The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled HR Coordinator to support the Employee Relations function and collaborate with the HR team to drive the human resources function forward. As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the HR team, ensuring compliance with employee licenses, certifications, and required documents. You will also coordinate new hire information, data entry, and maintenance of team member-related information, as well as maintain personnel files and perform daily HR functions with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure and monitor the collection of new-hire documentation from offer to start date, ensuring all necessary documents are collected and up-to-date.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, ensuring compliance with current employment practices and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare terminated personnel and medical files for offsite storage as required.
  • Coordinate exit interviews on behalf of the Employee Relations Manager and track results for the leadership team.
  • Provide clerical support to the Employee Relations Manager, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of administrative experience, preferably in a human resources and health-related/non-profit environment. You will also need proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases (HRIS). Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity and confidentiality, are essential for this role.
