Seeking a highly skilled Mass Tort Paralegal to join our team at Chaffin Luhana LLP in Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our paralegal staff, you will play a vital role in managing and meeting deadlines for SOLs and other filings under the supervision of attorneys.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in mass tort or personal injury paralegal work, with a proven track record of assisting attorneys and senior-level paralegals. A paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree is required, as is a caring and compassionate attitude towards clients that aligns with our firm's core value of Doing Good by Doing Right.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing mass tort cases and client relationships with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records for preparing factual responses to discovery, with attention to detail and precision.
  • Regularly interviewing clients by phone and timely updating them on their legal cases, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Reviewing and evaluating cases to prepare for attorney review and filing, with a keen eye for detail and a growth mindset.
  • Assisting Intake Specialists with managing the intake system, ensuring seamless case flow and efficient use of time.
  • Managing the workflow of cases in our electronic case management system, with a focus on organization and productivity.
  • Drafting and sending correspondence, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Drafting pleadings, including complaints, discovery responses, and other pleadings, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Offering general assistance to attorneys and senior paralegals, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Properly documenting all events and communications, with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Submitting invoices timely and consistently with firm policy, with a focus on attention to detail and professionalism.

Estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
