About the Role

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Visual and Performing Arts to lead the development and expansion of our fine arts programs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for fine arts education, incorporating the latest in production technology, performance techniques, and artistic expression.
  • Lead the planning and execution of capital projects related to the branch's expansion, including the design and construction of new facilities and studios.
  • Foster relationships with local artists, schools, and organizations to enhance program offerings, create collaborative opportunities, and increase community involvement in the arts.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of instructors, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Establish metrics for success and evaluate program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Performing Arts, Arts Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years involved in or leading arts education, program development, and/or arts administration, with a proven track record of successful leadership and innovation.
  • Preferred knowledge of music production, performing arts, and education trends and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead capital projects, from planning through to completion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnership-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
