Position Overview:

This is a pool position, meaning the start date will be determined by the availability of openings. We encourage interested candidates to submit their applications, as we will conduct interviews and keep applications on file for future vacancies.

Employment Type: Full-time. Typical working hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for the morning shift, with night shifts available from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm or 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Flexibility in scheduling is expected due to the dynamic nature of our environment, including potential evening and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established cleaning and maintenance protocols to uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness within the facility.
  • Develop and follow a comprehensive cleaning schedule that encompasses floors, whiteboards, waste receptacles, windows, furniture, equipment, restrooms, cafeteria, and communal areas.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the school grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and recreational spaces.
  • Oversee cafeteria operations, including setup and cleaning for breakfast and lunch services.
  • Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as required.
  • Assist in preparing for campus events and activities.
  • Supervise external contractors engaged in non-routine maintenance and seasonal refresh tasks.
  • Conduct pressure washing and exterior cleaning of the building.
  • Repaint interior walls as necessary.
  • Facilitate furniture movement for floor maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage supply orders.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily opening and closing of the facility.
  • Follow established protocols for securing the premises.
  • Regularly check exit doors and panic bolts to ensure functionality during occupancy.
  • Remain vigilant regarding safety and security concerns, promptly reporting any issues to administration.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and inspect for operational efficiency.
  • Address unsafe conditions in the workplace and report unresolvable issues to a supervisor.
  • Respond to emergencies to mitigate hazardous situations and report incidents to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in cleaning and maintenance is required.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance practices is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow cleaning and safety instructions.
  • Proficient in operating cleaning equipment and handling cleaning supplies safely.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to utilize basic office and security technology.
  • Experience with standard custodial equipment and computerized controls.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent physical activity, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including odors, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Work may be conducted indoors and outdoors, on uneven surfaces, and at heights.

Compensation:
