Outfield Healthcare Partners - Relocation to Southern New Mexico is required.

We are currently in search of a skilled and committed Nurse Consultant/Regional Director of Clinical Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Regional Director of Clinical Operations for designated facilities, working closely with essential roles such as the Regional Director of Operations, Director of Staff Development, and Facility Rehab Director.
  • Assist facility leadership in executing resident care policies, procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Conduct thorough facility evaluations, including mock survey visits, to verify adherence to regulations and company standards.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations for ongoing enhancement.
  • Engage effectively with leadership to identify issues and implement solutions.

Clinical Oversight:

  • Supervise interdisciplinary clinical operations to guarantee quality assurance.
  • Deliver educational support to nursing teams for informed clinical decision-making.
  • Design and execute educational initiatives to improve resident care.
  • Recognize trends in care practices and spearhead quality improvement efforts.
  • Assess nursing practices for alignment with professional standards and regulatory mandates.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Employ leadership capabilities to steer individuals towards shared objectives.
  • Facilitate connections between people and resources essential for achieving goals.
  • Effectively manage challenges and promote team collaboration.
  • Establish effective communication channels with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for Director of Nursing Services positions.
  • Support the Interdisciplinary Team in Care Management activities.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the analysis and strategic direction of nursing department budgets.
  • Evaluate nursing labor hours for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understand PPS and RAI processes related to reimbursement.
  • Oversee HMO, Change of Condition, and Level Authorization processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (in good standing) in Texas.
  • Preferred regional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Director of Nursing role.
