Registered Nurse (RN) - Staff

Position Overview

In this role, the Registered Nurse is tasked with delivering expert nursing care within a designated specialty or sub-specialty clinic.

The RN will engage in a range of general and specialized nursing responsibilities as a vital member of a comprehensive healthcare team, ensuring thorough patient evaluations.

This position typically involves supporting the head nurse in overseeing other clinic staff and may require stepping in for the head nurse during their absence.

The RN may also guide and mentor junior nursing staff, receiving oversight from the head nurse or physician while operating independently within established protocols. Additionally, the RN may oversee ancillary nursing staff in executing specific tasks and assist in their training.

Work is conducted under standard clinic conditions, necessitating significant interaction with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in Pediatrics.
  • Experience in Pediatrics, including general and/or specialty areas such as Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Adolescent Medicine, and Infectious Disease.
  • Background in Mental Health, Case Management, and/or OB/GYN is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of social resources and referral processes is beneficial.
Required Qualifications

Education:

Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited nursing program or scheduled to complete such a program within 120 days of application.


License/Certification:

Possession of a current Registered Nursing license in Texas or a temporary permit from the Board of Nursing to practice pending full licensure. New graduates must successfully pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt.


Experience:
No prior experience is necessary.
