We are currently in search of a committed and seasoned Nurse Consultant/Regional Director of Clinical Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Regional Director of Clinical Operations for designated facilities, working closely with essential roles such as the Regional Director of Operations, Director of Staff Development, and Facility Rehab Director.
  • Assist facility management in the execution of resident care policies, procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Conduct facility assessments, including mock survey visits, to ensure adherence to regulations and organizational standards.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and suggestions for ongoing enhancement.
  • Effectively communicate with leadership to identify issues and implement solutions.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Oversee interdisciplinary clinical processes to guarantee quality assurance.
  • Provide educational support for nursing teams to facilitate informed clinical decision-making.
  • Design and implement educational programs and activities aimed at improving resident care.
  • Identify trends in care practices and spearhead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assess nursing practices for compliance with professional standards and regulatory mandates.

Management Duties:

  • Utilize leadership capabilities to guide individuals towards shared objectives.
  • Connect personnel and resources essential for achieving established goals.
  • Effectively manage challenges and promote team collaboration.
  • Establish communication pathways with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in the recruitment process for Director of Nursing Services positions.
  • Support the Interdisciplinary Team in Care Management processes.

Financial Focus:

  • Contribute to the analysis and direction of nursing department budgets.
  • Review nursing labor hours for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understand PPS and RAI processes for reimbursement purposes.
  • Manage HMO, Change of Condition, and Level Authorization processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (in good standing) in Texas.
  • Regional experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of long-term care experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing.
