We are seeking a Safety Compliance Advisor to enhance our Agricultural Solutions division.

The Safety Compliance Advisor will be tasked with the development, execution, coordination, and management of safety initiatives to guarantee adherence to regulations, promote safe work practices, and foster continuous improvement at the facility. Responsibilities include direct support for safety operations, serving as the primary contact for safety matters, overseeing assigned projects, and ensuring the execution of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering technical and regulatory guidance alongside the EHS Team Leader to ensure compliance and the enhancement of EHS programs.
  • Collaborating with site leadership to resolve compliance issues.
  • Conducting and facilitating all mandatory safety training for site personnel in accordance with BASF EHS policies and local regulations.
  • Preparing for audits in partnership with site management and corporate EHS.
  • Leading the implementation of standardized corporate EHS policies and procedures, including Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis, Management of Change, Incident/Accident investigation, Ergonomics, and Hazard Communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with a strong foundation in Occupational Safety.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS) and technical safety expertise is essential.
  • Professional certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) is preferred or must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
