Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating design specifications, operational documents, process protocols, testing procedures, procurement paperwork, quality manuals, and inspection reports to ensure alignment with division and client quality standards.
  • Assisting in the contract evaluation process and interpreting specifications such as AS9100C, ISO9001:2008, ASQR-01, along with other customer, material, or process specifications.
  • Monitoring supplier performance, conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action analyses using methodologies like 8D and 5 Whys, and leading/supporting Quality Clinic initiatives.
  • Engaging with clients to resolve quality concerns and aiding the Purchasing team in material procurement, special processes, and approved supplier criteria.
  • Working alongside the Customer Service Department to address client issues and respond to Corrective Action Requests (CAR) with effective process enhancements.
  • Conducting internal audits, preferably with experience in AS9100 internal audits, and providing quality support to the Engineering team during New Product Introduction (NPI) and analysis of nonconforming components.
  • Generating and analyzing quality metrics, reviewing trends, and implementing process improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and communicating quality expectations to suppliers to prevent nonconforming products.
  • Maintaining quality documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and implementing new inspection technologies, such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and vision systems.
Key Qualifications

The ideal Quality Assurance Engineer will possess:
  • A 4-year College Degree in a Technical Discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience in interpreting GD&T Blueprints and validating inspections.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
