Job Summary

The Associate Director, Quality Assurance/Quality Control is a key member of the Yale University team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in all aspects of the university's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance across the university.
  • Lead a team of quality and compliance professionals to ensure effective implementation of quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for quality and compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and university policies.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all staff members understand their roles and responsibilities in ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that quality and compliance are integrated into all aspects of the university's operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and nine years of experience in quality and compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of quality and compliance principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience working in a higher education or academic institution is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, MS in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture license, or related field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality and compliance in higher education, research, laboratory, or healthcare.
  • 10+ years of QA/QC experience in architectural, engineering, or construction field; current OSHA 30 certification; USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors, (CQM); and experience managing multiple reports.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a office setting and may be required to travel to various locations on campus.
