Quality Engineer

Position Overview
The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) records, along with overseeing system and document control processes.

Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct and coordinate regular ISO department audits to ensure compliance.
2. Act as the ISO coordinator for recertification and surveillance audits.
3. Manage the Quality Alert system to address internal quality concerns.
4. Develop and uphold baseline criteria for in-process quality assessments (e.g., aesthetics, etc.).
5. Collaborate with Research and Development to formulate Quality Plans for new product introductions.
6. Ensure adherence to and training on new Quality Plans.
7. Execute and oversee in-process audits for assembly and manufacturing operations.
8. Generate in-process audit reports and promote corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Investigate and issue Quality Alerts for any nonconformances identified.
10. Create and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) aimed at enhancing quality.
11. Develop work instructions as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities
Facilitate the setup and interpretation of process capability studies, statistical process control charts, and Pareto analyses of both in-process and final inspection results. Collaborate with manufacturing department supervisors to establish metrics.

Qualifications
- Proficient understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and dimensional inspections.
- Practical experience with metrology and CMM operation/programming is highly desirable.
- A degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
