About this Position:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Manager for Internal Audit Quality Assurance within our Quality Assurance (QA) team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and directing QA audit execution reviews along with monitoring and validation tasks. The QA division offers independent assurance that the Audit department adheres to the established standards of internal audit delivery, complying with IIA Standards, the FRB Supplemental Policy Statement on the Internal Audit Function, OCC Heightened Standards, and internal Audit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of the QA Strategy by managing scorecard assessments and real-time evaluations of audit engagements, including issue validations and retrospective reviews.
  • Evaluate Audit methodologies against IIA and regulatory benchmarks, ensuring that action plans are executed as intended.
  • Conduct validation of audit-related regulatory issues prior to submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders across Internal Audit and relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to defined timelines.
  • Guarantee that QA engagements are performed in accordance with established QA policies and procedures.
  • Guide team members by providing constructive feedback, coaching, and development support.
  • Utilize critical thinking to identify and assess risks, proposing solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Exhibit professional judgment, offering credible challenges and escalating quality concerns as necessary.
  • Engage effectively with senior management.
  • Analyze complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrate professional skepticism throughout the audit process.
  • Present findings in an objective and impartial manner to all management levels.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations, or a combination of relevant work experience, training, military experience, and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of experience in auditing.
  • Audit experience within a large financial institution or auditing firm.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of audit or risk methodologies and related tools.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, or CISA.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team and across various organizational levels, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability.
  • Aptitude for performing in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge or experience in banking, finance, auditing, and risk management.
  • Leadership experience in managing professional auditors or risk management teams.
  • Thorough understanding of the financial regulatory landscape.
  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services sector and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed team.
Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is reflective of the offered salary. Compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and location. The listed range is one component of the overall compensation package provided to candidates.
$120,000 - $287,600.00
