Job Summary:

The Manager, FP&A will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and analysis functions of the company, as well as its portfolio growth and investment strategies. This individual will work closely with all levels of leadership to provide budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc reporting, research, and modeling for the existing portfolio and potential acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of financial analysts and provide guidance on financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, liquidity, valuation, and structuring strategies.
  • Liaise with operations teams to enhance insights and incorporate micro and macro trends into consolidated corporate modeling.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze ad hoc reports, including static proformas, working capital analyses, sensitivity tables, and other financial metrics.
  • Assist in the investment underwriting process, including underwriting transactions, validating assumptions, preparing investment presentations, and interacting with capital and debt partners.
  • Support due diligence, acquisition closing, and asset onboarding processes.
  • Develop and maintain models used to determine target cash balance, liquidity, compliance with qualitative and quantitative lender covenants, and capital sources.
  • Compile information requests related to individual asset and portfolio financings.
  • Report to senior management and other internal stakeholders on current cash positions and anticipated changes to short-term cash flow.
  • Derive, document, and implement analyses related to interest rate risk and liquidity stress testing.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, models, and dashboards.
  • Support decision-making processes by providing forward-looking analysis and insights and reviews of primary expense drivers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in financial services, corporate finance, or related fields; real estate, hospitality, or senior care industry experience a plus.
  • Management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Undergraduate degree with concentration in finance, or an MBA, with a strong record of academic performance.
  • Excellent quantitative skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing projects simultaneously and respond to changing priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Proficiency in the investment underwriting process preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with investors, brokers, lenders, and other third parties, as well as internal stakeholders.
