Position Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will play a critical role in enhancing the financial planning and analytical capabilities of the organization. This position will involve collaboration with various leadership levels, including the executive team, to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial modeling for both current operations and prospective investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor direct reports following an initial training phase.
  • Deliver comprehensive analytical support across diverse corporate functions.
  • Develop and sustain financial models to aid in budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, valuation, and structuring initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to enrich insights and integrate both micro and macroeconomic trends into unified corporate modeling.
  • Prepare, maintain, and evaluate ad hoc reports, including static proformas and working capital analyses.
  • Assist in the investment underwriting process for potential opportunities, including transaction assessment, assumption validation using market data, and preparation of investment presentations.
  • Support due diligence, acquisition finalization, and asset integration processes.
  • Create and manage models to determine target cash balances, liquidity, compliance with lender covenants, and capital sourcing.
  • Compile information requests pertinent to asset and portfolio financing.
  • Report to senior management and stakeholders on cash positions and forecast changes, establishing processes for efficient monitoring of variances.
  • Conduct analyses related to interest rate risk and liquidity stress testing, including evaluating strategies for interest rate cap purchases.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements, including the development of standard and custom reports, models, and dashboards.
  • Facilitate decision-making by providing forward-looking analyses and insights regarding primary expense drivers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, corporate finance, or a related field; experience in real estate, hospitality, or senior care is advantageous.
  • Proven management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or an MBA with a strong academic record.
  • A proactive and intellectually curious individual who thrives in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills, analytical acumen, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the investment underwriting process is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with investors, brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
