Position Overview:

We have multiple openings for the role of Aviation Maintenance Technician I.

Note: Military experience is advantageous. This position does not offer telecommuting options.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs, replacements, and rebuilds of aircraft structures, including wings and fuselage, as well as functional components such as rigging, surface controls, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery including shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
  • Interpret and apply manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering specifications to assess the feasibility and methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning components.
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged components, including carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, and oil pumps.
  • Disassemble and inspect engine parts for wear, cracks, and other defects, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Adjust and repair electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories as needed.
  • Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
  • Carry out various duties to service aircraft, including cleaning filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
  • Supervise the jacking and towing of aircraft.
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain aircraft in safe operating condition, specializing in structural repairs and engine maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Completion of Military Service Aircraft Maintenance Program or A&P License is highly preferred.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) license may be necessary.
  • Experience with MH-60S maintenance is highly desired.
  • Specialization in sheet metal, electrical work, avionics, or other aircraft systems may be required.
