Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders as per physician referrals.
- Perform thorough assessments utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies based on physician recommendations.
- Review patient medical histories to understand current diagnoses and any relevant precautions.
- Set measurable objectives and create tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust goals or methods as necessary.
- Communicate patient progress and needs to the healthcare team, including physicians and family members.
- Collaborate with medical professionals regarding patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and billing in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, policies, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid and unrestricted state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
