Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts evaluations and provides treatment for patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders as per physician directives.
  • Completes thorough assessments based on physician referrals utilizing appropriate evaluation tools and methodologies.
  • Reviews patient histories to understand current diagnoses and previous medical conditions.
  • Sets measurable objectives and formulates treatment plans aimed at enhancing the patient's speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjusts goals or strategies as necessary.
  • Communicates patient progress and needs to the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and family members as required.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers regarding patient assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and billing in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Adheres to the company's Code of Conduct, policies, and relevant legal standards.
  • Participates in staff development programs and continues education to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Basic Life Support or CPR certification as per state regulations.
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
