Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing weekly billing to our customers and settlements to our drivers/owner operators. This individual must have the ability to interact with other CEMEX divisions, third-party customers, company drivers, owner operators, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all Company safety policies at the facility.
  • Adhere to CEMEX policies and procedures.
  • Be mindful of employee/owner operators' information privacy.
  • Maintain at least 99% accuracy on invoicing to our customers.
  • Maintain at least 99% accuracy on payments to employees and owner operators.
  • Work diligently to ensure all PODs are imaged timely and according to CEMEX standards.
  • Interact with other departments to maintain the correctness and accuracy of the orders in the system.
  • Perform reconciliations with other CEMEX divisions for services provided.
  • Perform cash application of customer payments and detect discrepancies.
  • Work closely with our credit department to clear disputes from our customers.
  • Resolve any inquiries and issues from customers, drivers, owner operators, and vendors.
  • Request to add or update vendor information in our system(s).
  • Support on the printing/mailing of invoices and statements to our customers.
  • Support on the printing/mailing of settlement/deductions reports and 1099s to our owner operators.
  • Prepare and provide backup information to auditors as needed.
  • Support the rest of the team with ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's in Business or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Reliable and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytics and research skills.
  • AR & AP experience.
  • Ability to participate on different projects simultaneously.
  • Microsoft Office intermediate level.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Load Master experience preferred.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
