The Department of Family, Internal and Rural Medicine is thrilled to announce an opening for a full-time, non-tenure earning clinical track position for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician. The role encompasses teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents, research initiatives, and direct patient care, with a focus on outpatient primary care and typical administrative duties associated with a faculty role.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be Board eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Additionally, candidates must fulfill the medical licensure requirements of Alabama and obtain licensure prior to commencing the position.

Preferred Qualifications
A demonstrated history of scholarly work, particularly in the areas of education and training within a health professions or medical school setting, is highly desirable. Successful applicants will exhibit a collaborative and innovative mindset, a commitment to working within multidisciplinary teams, and possess excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
