Position Overview: The Department of Family Medicine at the College of Community Health Sciences is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time, non-tenure earning clinical track faculty position for board-certified or board-eligible family physicians. This role is essential to address the increasing demands of our department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in educational activities for medical students and residents during their clinical training.
- Participate in research initiatives and scholarly endeavors.
- Provide comprehensive patient care, with a focus on outpatient and inpatient services, primarily at the University Medical Center Northport.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine. Compliance with Alabama medical licensure requirements is mandatory prior to commencing the position.
Preferred Qualifications: A demonstrated history of scholarly work, particularly in medical education, is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will exhibit a collaborative approach, a passion for interdisciplinary teamwork, and possess strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
