Faculty Position in Clinical Psychiatry

Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alabama is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a faculty position in clinical psychiatry. This is a full-time, non-tenure earning, clinical track position that requires a BC/BE Psychiatrist to meet the growing needs of the department.
Responsibilities
- Teach medical students and residents in clinical training
- Engage in scholarly activity
- Provide direct patient care
- Participate in administrative tasks typical for a faculty appointment
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatric Medicine
- Meet Alabama medical licensure requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- A track record of scholarship in a health professions or medical school environment
- Collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
