Position Overview
This role encompasses a non-tenure earning clinical track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Responsibilities include educating family medicine residents and medical students, delivering patient care, engaging in scholarly activities, and specializing in general adult psychiatry, with potential focuses on forensic, geriatric, and inpatient care.

Detailed Role Responsibilities
The selected candidate will hold a non-tenure earning clinical track position as either an Assistant or Associate Professor. Key responsibilities involve teaching medical students and residents during their clinical training, participating in scholarly endeavors, providing direct patient care, and fulfilling administrative duties typical of a faculty role. Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology and meet the qualifications for an academic appointment at the University of Alabama, along with being eligible for licensure in Alabama.

Essential Qualifications
A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree and Board Eligible/Board Certified status in Neurology are mandatory. Candidates must satisfy Alabama's medical licensure requirements and complete the licensure process prior to the commencement of employment.

Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in both outpatient and inpatient neurological care, along with a proven track record in scholarship, particularly in educational settings within health professions or medical schools. Successful applicants will demonstrate a collaborative and innovative mindset, a commitment to working within multidisciplinary teams, and possess exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English.
