Role Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate risk factors associated with consumer lending portfolios.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure adherence to credit policies and Bank underwriting standards, alongside risk assessment, and confirm that all necessary loan documentation is secured while ensuring all exceptions are thoroughly documented and communicated to senior management.
  • Provide insights on the overall quality of underwriting and the credit risk characteristics of the loan portfolio.
  • Compile comprehensive reports and summaries of findings for management review, adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Follow up on identified exceptions and outstanding items.
  • Implement necessary actions to ensure prompt resolution and reporting of exceptions and monitor overdue items.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory, or a minimum of 6-10 years in a comparable role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in consumer lending (including Small Business) and/or commercial/consumer loan review/audit environments, encompassing credit analysis, credit decisions, and loan documentation.
  • Preferred experience of 5+ years utilizing loan accounting and/or similar application systems.
  • Additional training sponsored by the banking industry is advantageous.
  • A background in finance and accounting is essential for effective consumer loan underwriting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with deposit and loan operations (payments, payoffs, new accounts, wire transfers, etc.) is preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with outstanding customer service abilities, are required.
  • Ability to swiftly resolve issues is essential.
