KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate, execute, and uphold the credit underwriting strategy for digital lending offerings.
  • Utilize statistical tools and analytical techniques to analyze data, including traditional and alternative bureau data, behavioral insights, and macroeconomic indicators, to enhance credit decision-making.
  • Refine existing customer management strategies to boost profitability at the customer level.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure effective implementation of credit policy requirements.
  • Evaluate potential vendors and data providers to enhance credit management strategies in a continuous improvement framework.
  • Stay informed on relevant regulations and compliance standards, engaging with internal and external regulators as necessary.
  • Create analytical reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory examinations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in quantitative research for analysts, with 5+ years for associates.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in developing, enhancing, or analyzing risk management in digital consumer or small business lending sectors or similar data-driven industries.
  • Proficiency in U.S. credit bureau data, risk scorecards, and payment capability assessment.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and time-series data analysis using SAS, R, Python, or equivalent tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, logic functions, and regression analysis), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to visualize complex data analyses and communicate findings to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Experience in generating comprehensive risk management reports using SQL or similar database query languages.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and drive project delivery from start to finish.
  • Experience in developing policy and procedural documentation for credit risk strategy execution.
  • Expertise in creating and automating quality control processes to ensure the effective execution of credit strategies.
