Position Summary:
The Commercial Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in the underwriting process associated with commercial credits. This position involves preparing credit memorandums and assisting Commercial Relationship Managers in preparing commercial loan packages for approval and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize financial spreading software to analyze financial data from statements or tax returns and prepare credit requests.
2. Draft credit memos and financial ratio reports for submission to the appropriate lending authority for approval.
3. Approve loans within credit authority, identify potential risks, and support the presentation of credit packages.
4. Collaborate with Commercial Lending Teams and Relationship Managers as needed.
5. Work closely with the Loan Documentation team to ensure all due diligence is completed prior to loan closings.
6. Assist in training new associates on system applications and proper underwriting procedures.
7. Travel to clients and various WSFS locations as required.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience is required.
- A background in finance and accounting that supports commercial loan underwriting and analysis, including the review of client financial statements and tax returns, is essential.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, with a strong focus on reviewing personal and business financial statements.
- General business and banking knowledge is necessary.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are required.
- Ability to think independently while collaborating with other professionals and structuring loan requests in line with bank policy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- A solid understanding of applying Loan Policy to underwriting documentation is necessary.
