Job Title: Head of AI Strategy and Innovation

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development

Location: Flexible within Texas

Role Summary:

The Head of AI Strategy and Innovation will spearhead the identification and assessment of opportunities to leverage AI technologies for operational efficiency and strategic differentiation. The ideal candidate will possess robust strategic insight, extensive experience with AI and machine learning applications in a corporate setting, and a proven track record of leading transformative initiatives from conception through execution.

The successful applicant will collaborate across departments to pinpoint, comprehend, and outline processes where AI can deliver significant value to Enovis. They will work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to formulate and implement plans that align with existing technology programs while managing necessary change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification: Partner with executive and functional leaders to uncover areas where AI technologies can enhance efficiency and market positioning.
  • Business Case Development: Construct comprehensive business cases for proposed AI initiatives, encompassing financial, strategic, and risk factors to prioritize and gain executive endorsement.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Create a roadmap for prioritized AI projects, ensuring alignment with Enovis' overarching business objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Formulate project plans for selected AI opportunities and oversee implementation utilizing both internal and external resources as necessary.
  • External Partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with AI vendors and technology partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of AI initiatives, making adjustments as needed for continuous improvement.
  • AI Advocacy: Provide training, education, and mentorship within Enovis to enhance awareness of AI capabilities and identify future opportunities for efficiency and differentiation.
  • Technology Evaluation: Remain informed about the latest AI technologies and trends, assessing their potential relevance and impact on our business needs.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or Ph.D. is advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

Over 10 years of experience in a large-scale global organization in program management, general management, or process improvement roles.

At least 2 years of experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including leading successful AI projects.

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is preferred.

A comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and a demonstrated ability to identify and implement significant process improvements.

Proven capability to operate across organizational boundaries, achieving results through influence and fostering engagement.

Strong change management skills.

Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all organizational levels, from front-line staff to executive leadership.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be required based on project needs, with an estimated 40% of time spent at various sites with key stakeholders.
