Position Summary:

Renesas is in search of a seasoned and dynamic leader to assume the role of Head of Product Strategy for the Performance Core product line. This product line, part of the Performance Computing Power (PCP) division, specializes in developing high-performance digital multiphase voltage regulators tailored for the AI, server, cloud infrastructure, networking, telecom, computing, and graphics sectors.

This newly established role presents a unique opportunity to define and enhance the product management function within the team. The selected candidate will oversee the complete lifecycle and strategic roadmap of power stage products within the Performance Core product line. Responsibilities include establishing the portfolio vision, leading product definition, and managing products from inception to retirement. You will engage with engineering teams, facilitate customer interactions, devise go-to-market strategies, identify emerging markets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier power management products to the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the power stage roadmap. Formulate a product strategy, portfolio, and roadmap for targeted application areas such as AI, servers, networking, telecom, and computing, ensuring alignment with market demands and trends.
  • Collaborate with applications engineering, design, product, and test engineering teams to develop, launch, and support products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Prepare market requirement documents and business plans for new product initiatives and proposals.
  • Oversee the new product development pipeline, establishing KPIs to monitor its effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the new product development engineering team, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Stay informed about technology trends in cloud infrastructure and computing to drive strategic decision-making. Formulate recommendations and competitive feature sets to maintain a cutting-edge portfolio through continuous improvement.
  • Drive the creation of comprehensive product documentation, including customer presentations, training materials, product errata, application notes, and more.
  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategies with thorough market assessments, competitive analyses, and product positioning.
  • Work alongside other product managers within the division to define products that can integrate with others to create comprehensive system solutions.
  • Manage pricing strategies, quotes, and cost structures for assigned products.
  • Develop persuasive sales materials that effectively communicate product value and differentiation. Collaborate closely with business development teams to secure new business opportunities and achieve design wins.
  • Ensure power stage products are incorporated into key reference designs within the ecosystem.
Qualifications:
  • BSEE or related fields with over 10 years of experience in product management, marketing, or related roles. An MSEE or MBA is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of power management applications and products.
  • Experience in data center, servers, telecom, networking, and/or computing markets.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with teams across multiple global locations. Proven ability to drive process improvements that yield positive outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and launching products, contributing to revenue growth.
