Job Summary
The Volunteer Program Manager will oversee the Center for Nonprofit Management's volunteer programs, focusing on older adults and adults with disabilities. This role will direct the Helping Hands Program, including Friendly Visiting, Telephone Reassurance, Pen Pals, Cyber-Seniors, Jacob's Ladder, Helping Hands Music, and Art Programs for those living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of volunteer programs, including the Helping Hands Program and Shabbat services and holiday programs at area assisted living communities.
- Facilitate a monthly lunch, including scheduling entertainment, ordering lunch, and gathering RSVPs.
- Coordinate annual Senior Seder in partnership with community agencies.
- Work with other JFS staff to respond to agency needs and coordinate volunteers for agency projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field.
- Experience with volunteer management and/or working with older adults.
- Ability to work cooperatively with professional staff and Jewish communal organizations.
- Engaging and flexible personality with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with and sensitivity to Jewish identity.
