Position: Facility Operations Specialist
Job Status: Non-Exempt / Full-time
Reports to: Director of Training/Safety Coordinator/Marketing
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within our establishment. Your skills will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both our guests and staff, thereby enhancing the overall experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing failures, and equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruption.
- Equipment Monitoring: Oversee and maintain facility equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
- Energy Efficiency: Implement eco-friendly practices and energy-saving measures to lower utility expenses and reduce environmental impact.
- Project Management: Undertake projects as assigned by the General Manager.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders to track history and plan future needs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations through regular inspections and prompt action on identified hazards.
- Training and Support: Provide training to staff on safety protocols and equipment usage to foster a secure working environment.
- Vendor Relations: Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance services as required.
- Budget Management: Contribute to budget planning by offering insights on maintenance needs and managing expenses within budgetary limits.
- Landscaping Duties: Regularly maintain the grounds, including mowing, trimming, and weed control.
- Snow Removal: Clear snow from parking areas using appropriate equipment.
- Sanitation: Clean and sanitize play areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy-efficient practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure during emergencies.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with guests, staff, and external partners.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy items.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Understanding of ethical codes and company policies relevant to the role.
- Valid driver's license required.
