Position Title: Field Service Technician - Mobile Equipment

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reporting Structure: Field Service Supervisor

Relocation: Not Applicable

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Travel Commitment: 75%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Terex safety protocols and guidelines
  • Promote and embody The Terex Way Values
  • Service a diverse range of machinery, including truck-mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks, and cranes
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Organize personal schedule and assist clients with repairs
  • Leverage current technology to facilitate daily operations

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mechanical toolset (sockets, wrenches, battery-operated impact gun)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment
  • Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record check
  • 2+ years of experience in Field Service roles
  • Must reside within 60 miles of Salt Lake City, UT
  • Capability to obtain Department of Transportation qualification
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screening

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer service experience
  • Familiarity with utility-type equipment
  • Fluid Power Society certification
  • In-depth knowledge of Terex products, such as Hi-Ranger and Telelect
  • Experience with JLG or Genie equipment
  • Basic computer proficiency

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, and travel three to four nights per week
  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate around and under vehicles
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $32-40 per hour, based on various factors including education, experience, and certifications.
