Food and Beverage Coordinator

Mandarin Oriental, New York is a luxurious hotel located in Columbus Circle's Deutsche Bank Center, offering stunning views of Manhattan and Five-Star hospitality. Our hotel features 244 elegant guestrooms and suites, a 14,500 square-foot Five-Star Mandarin Oriental Spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with a 75-foot lap pool.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company's philosophy and culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences, ensuring Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
Key Responsibilities- Support company's philosophy and culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
- Take accurate and complete reservations.
- Provide excellent service at all times.
- Set and maintain the dining room environment and material perfectly clean.
- Assist guests and colleagues courteously and efficiently.
- Use the guest name appropriately and communicate it to restaurant colleagues and managers so that they can use it as well.
- Assist in seating guests.
- Assist restaurant colleagues prepare for service.
- Sell gift certificates for restaurants.
- Communicate other necessary information with colleagues.
- Handle reservations and prepayment for special events, holiday brunches, wine dinner, cooking classes, etc.
- Coordinate set menus for small groups and distribute copies of the event form accordingly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the menus and print out menus as needed.
- Inform restaurant managers on a daily basis of reservations forecast.
- Share information of all upcoming events with the Concierge Team.
- Assist in monitoring all guest needs.
- Confirm daily reservations. Advice chef on daily reservations.
- Log in information about our guest preferences.
- Check on a daily basis for our regular guest preferences and record them in our daily list for the service.
- Print and post daily DCF.
- Maintain and organize table flowers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary of $35.39 per hour, 32 hours per week.
