About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Hospitality Sector Workforce Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective workforce development strategies for the hospitality sector, ensuring alignment with the City's local plan and state's regional plan sector strategy vision.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders, training providers, and education institutions to design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of employers and job seekers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sector workforce programs, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local funding requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community-based organizations, local officials, employers, labor, and industry associations.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, such as public administration, urban planning, social work, education, finance, or criminal justice.
  • Four years of administrative/professional experience in community development, housing and/or housing development, workforce development, finance, education, social work, children/youth work, or criminal justice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and manage multiple relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience with workforce development principles and practice, including sector strategies and programming.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
