Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our public sector sales efforts as the Head of Public Sector Sales. This is a unique opportunity to shape the expansion of our mission and drive the adoption of safe and transformative AI solutions across federal, state, and local government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive public sector go-to-market strategy to drive revenue growth and increase adoption of our AI products.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales organization from the ground up, providing leadership and development to our public sector sales team.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key public sector partners to accelerate adoption and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with our Product team to tailor our offerings for government requirements and ensure alignment with our overall sales strategy.
  • Analyze public sector trends and dynamics to continually refine our go-to-market strategy and drive business results.
  • Oversee the public sector sales team, providing guidance on deal strategy and stakeholder management.
  • Communicate public sector priorities and resourcing needs to sales leadership and ensure cross-functional collaboration with teams across Anthropic.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of public sector sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Active security clearance and deep expertise in public sector software/SaaS sales, ideally with exposure to AI/ML.
  • Experience managing teams focused on federal, state, and local government, with a strategic mindset and ability to rapidly operationalize insights.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for bringing transformative technologies to the public sector in an ethical and responsible way.
