Job Title: Investment Banking Vice President

Jefferies Financial Group Inc. is a global full-service investment banking and securities firm. Job Summary:

We are seeking an Investment Banking Vice President to join our Global Healthcare Group. The successful candidate will work on the Life Sciences team, focusing on BioPharma vertical. The role involves participating in equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions. The candidate will be responsible for preparing pitch books, conducting financial valuations, and analyzing corporate and financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the execution of equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions
  • Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, prospectuses, and S-1s
  • Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies' analyses
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence
  • Build financial operating models and valuation models
  • Conduct industry and product research
Requirements:
  • Either (i) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND 5+ years of Investment Banking experience or (ii) MBA degree (or equivalent graduate degree) from an accredited college or university AND 3+ years of Investment Banking experience; in BioPharma coverage group or in a BioPharma M&A product team
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
  • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously and a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Currently living in New York, or willing to relocate
Benefits:
