The Vice President of Credit Risk Management will oversee and manage the credit risk associated with the bank's workout and leveraged loan portfolios. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks, managing distressed credits, and ensuring compliance with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workout and Restructuring:
  • Lead the management of distressed credit situations within the leveraged loan portfolio, including developing and executing workout strategies.
  • Negotiate and restructure terms of distressed loans to maximize recovery and minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with legal and external advisors to manage complex restructurings, bankruptcies, and liquidations.
  • Credit Risk Management:
  • Oversee the risk assessment of new and existing leveraged loans, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk appetite and policies.
  • Monitor and manage the credit quality of the leveraged loan portfolio, identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for high-risk exposures, including syndication, hedging, or sale of distressed assets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on workout, restructuring, and leveraged loans.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies, workout strategies, and leveraged finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing distressed credit situations and working with complex financial structures.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with legal teams on restructurings and bankruptcies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, risk management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
