Job Overview

Position Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Role Summary:

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various Human Resource functions to achieve strategic and operational goals. Your ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and across departments will be essential. You will leverage your expertise in employee relations and analytical skills to drive HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent application of all HR policies across the organization.
  • Provide objective coaching to associates and management on complex issues, guiding them through appropriate disciplinary actions and assisting with investigations.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for hourly positions.
  • Coordinate and maintain associate recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Regularly review HR activity reports for insights and improvements.
  • Support the interpretation and feedback process for internal customer and associate engagement surveys.
  • Enhance HR visibility by attending department meetings and conducting training sessions.
  • Review requests for pay adjustments to ensure equity and consistency.
  • Prepare and present training on HR-related topics.
  • Champion diversity initiatives, focusing on recruitment, retention, and promotion goals.
  • Assist in developing Personal Development Plans for associates.
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a human resources generalist role; management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a large, multi-unit organization is required.
  • Familiarity with centralized HR environments, preferably in corporate settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.
  • Training certifications (e.g., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey) are a plus.
