ROLE OVERVIEW:

This position emphasizes various facets of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and professional development. The selected candidate will also engage with compensation and benefits issues. We seek a proactive HR expert with strategic insight to spearhead diverse HR initiatives. The ideal applicant should demonstrate proficiency in problem-solving, relationship management, and addressing staffing challenges and talent acquisition requirements. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role entails supervising and mentoring other HR personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the investment team on the analyst program, managing the employee life cycle and providing mentorship to analysts.
  • Offer coaching, guidance, and support to managers and employees, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Lead recruitment initiatives for support staff and the investment analyst program, including overseeing the recruitment process and formulating compensation packages.
  • Administer the annual evaluation process and performance assessments for support staff.
  • Play a significant role in employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, as well as mentoring and coaching programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8-12 years of comprehensive HR experience, including recruitment, with exposure to at least one of the following areas: performance management, training, or employee relations.
  • Interest or experience in talent acquisition.
  • Background in professional services, biotech/technology; familiarity with financial services, asset management, or banking is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to forge influential business partnerships.
  • Capacity to work with urgency and efficiency.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven supervisory experience.

Additional Information:

  • This position is classified as exempt under the FLSA.
  • HMC implements a hybrid work model where employees are expected to be in the office on designated days and work remotely on others.
