Job Overview

InOrder Business stands as a premier consultancy dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the commercial real estate sector. We are currently seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager to enhance our efforts in this vital area.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to formulate and implement diversity strategies aimed at maximizing participation from Minority-, Women-, and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (MBE, WBE, VBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), and other Underutilized Business Enterprises (UBE) across various projects. This role is essential in engaging clients, community partners, diverse businesses, and other stakeholders to achieve both organizational and project-specific objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and executing diversity strategies to bolster procurement processes on construction projects, focusing on M/W/VBE and DBE.
  • Coordinating subcontractor procurement across ongoing construction initiatives.
  • Facilitating client interactions with internal and external stakeholders to promote diversity goals.
  • Leading the development of diversity plans that align with contractual obligations set by awarding authorities.
  • Building strategic partnerships within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) community to advance diversity initiatives.
  • Organizing community engagement events and outreach activities in collaboration with partners and stakeholders to enhance diversity and inclusion.
  • Supporting workforce compliance managers to create opportunities for local and diverse workforces.
  • Overseeing daily operations related to small business support, workforce compliance, and community engagement.
  • Maintaining data sets and generating reports to track progress towards specific diversity goals.
  • Participating in regular project meetings to provide updates on status and progress.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A solid understanding of the construction industry and experience collaborating with diverse partners and small businesses.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diversity requirements related to M/W/VBE, DBE, and workforce considerations on active construction sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and manage diversity strategies that support operational objectives.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business and partnership development.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing procurement and contracts for small businesses.
  • Exceptional presentation, writing, and communication skills.
