About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic professional to enhance our revenue cycle operations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate billing and timely reimbursement from clients, payers, and health plans. The individual will analyze financial data trends and provide insights to support the financial health of our organization. Collaboration across departments will be essential to develop and implement policies that enhance reimbursement processes and improve user experiences, while also aiding our revenue operations and strategy team in scaling effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the improvement of claim and invoice billing processes from initiation to completion, ensuring precise client billing.
  • Oversee the setup of new clients for billing submissions, ensuring electronic remittance capabilities.
  • Engage with Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams to streamline billing for new clients and secure remittances.
  • Manage the billing lifecycle for new clients, including participation in discussions with carriers, monitoring claim processing, and transitioning clients to automated daily claims.
  • Follow up with payers on claims that are outstanding for over 30 days to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and submit monthly invoices to clients.
  • Assist in the collection of patient payments and provide follow-up as necessary.
  • Support the Revenue Operations & Strategy team in establishing new payment structures as our program offerings expand.
  • Lead and organize internal and external meetings, representing the Revenue Operations team effectively.
  • Update and enhance reporting for revenue cycle key performance indicators, including claim denials and time to cash.
  • Internally report on critical revenue cycle metrics and identify strategies for improvement.
  • Conduct investigations into financial and billing data to extract valuable insights as required.
  • Document project progress clearly and concisely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any claim rejections, verify user eligibility, and resubmit claims as needed.
  • Identify breakdowns in revenue cycle processes and propose potential solutions.

Work Environment:

We embrace a hybrid work model, recognizing the benefits of both remote and in-office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be present in the office three days a week.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience, ideally in the startup, consulting, or healthcare sectors.
  • Proficient in Excel with at least 1 year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience in a healthcare startup for over a year.
  • Background in revenue cycle management for at least 1 year.
  • Project management experience of 1 year or more.
  • Experience in finance or accounting for over a year.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience collaborating across various teams.
  • Comfortable navigating the fast-paced environment of a startup.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

This position offers a competitive annual salary, along with equity and benefits. The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $108,000, with total compensation varying based on qualifications, skills, and competencies.
