Key Responsibilities of the Senior Revenue Accountant/Manager:

  • Manage and oversee the comprehensive Order to Cash (O2C) process, ensuring precision and adherence to company policies and accounting regulations.
  • Prepare and assess journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements with a focus on revenue.
  • Work closely with cross-departmental teams, including sales, legal, and operations, to guarantee accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Evaluate and interpret intricate contracts to ascertain suitable revenue recognition treatment in line with ASC 606.
  • Lead the enhancement and execution of revenue accounting processes and systems.
  • Assist in the formulation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports along with key performance indicator analysis.
  • Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and other stakeholders to provide required documentation and clarifications.
  • Develop and uphold revenue accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry best practices.
  • Engage in special projects and initiatives as necessary, including system upgrades and process enhancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of pertinent experience, including Big 4 audit exposure and experience in a startup setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Order to Cash (O2C) process.
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 606 and other revenue recognition frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
