Position Overview:
We are seeking a Tax Transformation Lead to join our dynamic Tax Transformation team within the internal IT department. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with Tax business leaders and subject matter experts to identify, define, and implement technology solutions that drive significant business impact and growth for our firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate current tax processes, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and implement best practices for tax compliance and consulting services.
  • Manage tax transformation initiatives, including software implementations, process automation, and system enhancements from inception through to execution.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops; guide teams in documenting current and future states, gathering business requirements, and ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for technology investments, outlining scope, anticipated benefits, ROI, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee complex projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with project objectives, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to assess the success of technology initiatives.
  • Build expertise in tax service line products and processes through a thorough understanding of existing operations and business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, vendors, and products while staying informed on industry trends.
  • Provide training and support to tax team members and stakeholders on the effective use of tax technology tools and systems, leading change management efforts for smooth adoption.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

Travel Requirements:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this role.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in tax technology and compliance within a multinational organization or public accounting firm; a minimum of 3 years in a tax compliance role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end tax compliance engagement lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading teams to gather and document business requirements and implement solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of emerging tax technology trends and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Exposure to implementing solutions across various tax business lines.
  • Familiarity with work item management systems such as Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
  • Experience designing dashboards using tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
  • CPA license (active or inactive) is a plus.
