Duties & Responsibilities:

The role of the Information SystemsManager oversees all information technology operations for theorganization. This includes ensuring the integrity and security of theelectronic health record system, network, data systems, and the overalleffectiveness of the IT environment is maintained. In addition, this positionprovides direct supervision and training to all IT support roles with overallresponsibility for effectively managing the IT help desk ticketing system. Thisposition serves as a liaison with department directors/managers to implementprograms, provide high-level support, troubleshoot complex IT-related problems,and play a key role in providing strategic direction within the department andorganization. Additional duties may include, establishing and implementing comprehensiveshort-term strategies, standards, and system requirements for the organization.Works with members of the team to negotiate purchase and/or maintenancecontracts on hardware or software.

Experience & Skills Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Information and Technology Systems preferred, including internal/shared/outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, integration, and communication systems
  • Required minimum 2 years' management experience of direct reports, healthcare setting preferred
  • Required minimum 2 years' Cerner experience, including support, implementation, and upgrades preferred
  • Strong knowledgeand understanding of unique healthcare, including hospital operating systems,hardware, EHR, and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of riskassessment tools, systems, and applications
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills with the ability to lead, train, and motivate team membersto maintain organizational standards of care
  • Financialmanagement skills in administering an IT budget
  • Excellent skillsin organization, prioritization, and technical & project management
  • Strong technicalknowledge and ability to make decisions for the organization based on a higherdegree of technical complexity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explaindiverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language
  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in CMS MeaningfulUse, Electronic Health Record Incentive Program, and HIPAA regulations topromote organizational operability
