In this position, you will work closely with various teams, including Tax Experts, IT specialists, and Operations personnel, to pinpoint and address inefficiencies in processes, promote standardization, utilize technology solutions and automation, and oversee data management for enhanced business intelligence.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of pertinent experience in a tax-related role within a medium to large tax/accounting setting, with at least 2 years in a genuine IT business analysis or tax technology capacity.
  • Proficient in documenting process workflows, use cases, and user narratives.
  • In-depth understanding of tax software applications and tax-related workflows.
  • Strong analytical abilities to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, comprehend, and document existing processes.
  • Identify areas for enhancement through automation and process redesign.
  • Collect and document requirements from stakeholders.
  • Create user narratives and process diagrams for development purposes.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers or independently manage projects from inception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPA designation, or a willingness to reinstate certification.
  • Experience within a public accounting firm's tax division.
  • Familiarity with APIs, ETL, and BOT/AI/RPA technologies.
