Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Settlements Specialist to join our team at EDP Renewables (EDPR). As a key member of our Asset Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing of settlements, landowner payments, and other financial activities that support our operational obligations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly revenue and expense accruals estimates and cash received reports for our Accounting department.
  • Settlements Support: Provide support for any inquiries related to settlements, landowner payments, and other financial activities.
  • Invoice Preparation: Produce monthly invoices and reconcile settlement discrepancies with various Independent System Operators (ISOs) and off-takers following contractual languages.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Prepare various ad hoc analyses (historical and forward-looking) and conduct research on ISO tariffs and contracts as needed.
  • Reporting: Produce various settlements data reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Renewable Energy Credits: Perform settlements activities such as scheduling and transferring renewable energy credits as needed.
  • Process Optimization: Support the development of standard business processes and optimization of existing processes.
  • Contract Management: Support the development of tools and processes and the tracking of obligations under the major contracts of an operating wind farm (e.g., Power Purchase Agreements, Turbine Operations and Maintenance contracts, investors, and Tax Equity).
  • Stakeholder Management: Support Asset Operations staff in maintaining and strengthening relationships with off-takers, ISOs, and other stakeholders critical to the success of our operations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with accounting regarding Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable requests associated with settlements.
  • Communication: Interface heavily with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and collaborative manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Skills: Experience with database management/analytics (SQL), macros (VBA), data reporting (SQL Reporting Services/Crystal), dashboard/BI (Tableau, Power BI) is preferred. Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise is also preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with up to 10% travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a collaborative environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
