About the Opportunity

Travelers Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Account Executive/Underwriter to join our Specialty Group Captives team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with external partners, including agents and brokers, to market and sell Travelers products.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
  • Travel nationally and internationally as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in commercial lines.
  • Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting casualty products, the regulatory environment, and the broader insurance market.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate with agents and brokers.
